The ENCA statement on the EC Nature Directives Fitness Check builds upon the body of experience from across the ENCA-network. We highlight four core areas which could provide the most significant improvements to implementation of the Nature Directives. ENCA, in co-operation with The German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN) hosted a European conference on
"Nature-based solutions for climate change in urban areas and their rural surroundings - linkages between science, policy and practice" from November 17-19, 2015 at the Centre of Advanced European Studies and Research (CAESAR) in Bonn/Germany.
